Default Rearview Mirror Control Switch Bulb

While perusing Lexus parts diagrams, encountered 1995 - 2000 LS400 power door rear view mirror control switch depicting a lamp and color filter.

Never realized until reviewing the parts diagram it was backlit..as mine never illuminated since purchase.

Accessing switch requires removing both dash undercover panels.

The switch now illuminates.

Switch - coin pocket assembly.. (image acquired online)

Backside of switch - coin pocket assembly. Lamp base is red circle on rear of switch.(online image)

Front side of switch assembly separated from coin pocket assembly. (image acquired online)

Backside of switch assembly depicting bulb base. A slight turn counterclockwise with a small common screwdriver loosens bulb.

Twist lock bulb assembly... (made in China?)

Bulb # is 84999-10470 and Bulb Cap (green silicone color filter).# is 84998-10430. The color filter is reusable. I purchased a new cap.

McGrath Lexus Chicago assisted with this project.
