I noticed a small puddle found this below. Sent pic to mechanic and he said rack is leaking. He’s gonna look at it in person to make sure but question is is there a good source for reman? Or get a used one off Lkq?

Have acquired a Lexus dealer purchased rebuilt steering rack for a 1993 LS400. (New for UCF11 no longer available)
My parts manager informs Everything, save for the rack housing, is replaced with factory original parts..including inner tie rods. The price was not unreasonable. Same for 1999 LS400...
Lexus employs a core charge.

If the rack is original it may be tired and at end of life but but as long as the rack has no slop and steers safely, I would investivate further before replacing it.
On my car(RX330) it was filthy and leaky like in your pics so I bought several cans of brake cleaner and cleaned the whole area like new and what I discovered is most of my leak was coming from the PS hoses.
Yeah I will replace the rack eventually but the leak is very slow in the boot on driver side and it's not hurting anything and after repairing my leaking hoses and repairing my torn boot, I have no more mess or drips and doesn't look so urgent.

steers like a champ but that’s why ima have my guy look at it to make sure.
I have the same problem on my '91 LS400...Leaking steering rack. I just bought a bottle of BlueDevil stop leak. I have 175K miles on car and bought it new. The rack works perfectly except for the leak. I am leary about buying a rebuilt if I don't absolutely have to. I will post if this solves my problem.
That drip on the ground looks like engine oil, unless the power steering fluid is extremely dirty. But don't guess, clean up all that oil so you can pinpoint the leak source, also can pull the boot off the rack see if it's filled with oil if so your rack is leaking.
