Default Dash circuit board?

My 93’ LS has some issues as follows,
-no illuminated gauges
-cruise control used to work intermittently, now doesn’t
-long crank starting

ive been told many times that it needs a new ECU by gear head friends and the previous owner, however I talked to a 30yr Lexus mechanic turned parts counter guy and he said it’s a dash circuit board needs replaced.

what do you guys think? And does anyone know where to get a dash circuit board?

thanks and cheers.

So,a ton of people have told you whats wrong,a simple search here will show ECU will fail, only question is when.A parts guy tells you something else.

Gee....who will I listen to?

Well considering almost all the ECU threads and articles I’ve read say if the ECU is going, you’ll have engine trouble, which I don’t.

please read the thread again:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...capacitor.html

every problem you listed is in the symptoms list! the ECU is likely the culprit.

Sounds to me like you have engine problems.
I was hesitant for a long time about fixing my ECU when I had problems. (including alot that were listed) I kept telling myself there's no way that's my problem. But when I finally jumped on the band wagon and changed out my ECU the car was like new again and I kicked myself in the *** for not listening to the "experts" here sooner.

I’m sorry. Not trying to be a burden. I looked over the other forums and only saw the one about new capacitors. Also looked at the frequently asked q&a. Am I missing something?

Check out relentless motorsports TX. There is a lot of controversy over ECU rebuilders, but CartuneNZ backs those guys and says they do good work and he knows his **** (youtube)
