Hi all - I am the proud owner of a 1995 LS400 and have had a lot of of success with various technical issues by reading these forums. However, my new issue has me stumped. The center console - heat/air control/stereo/tape deck will completely loose power while I am driving or won't come online at all when I first start the car. The outage usually lasts for a couple seconds to several minutes and then miraculously everything will come back online again - lights, sound, music. It has started happening more frequently while I'm driving, today happening twice in a row with only a few minutes between outages . I replaced the battery earlier in the year and the alternator is also new, within the last year. Any thoughts? I am not super technical but I have confidently replaced all my front and rear lights and installed my battery. Any help is much appreciated!

Sorry for your trouble. All those (center console /heat/air control/stereo/tape deck) are getting the power from the ignition switch. I worry that contacts of IG1 line of it is about to wear out. What happens when you slightly twist the key to R and L? But please do not try this while you are driving. Just try while parking for the safety.Originally Posted by MsJane
