Do you guys know if the suspension shock parts are the same for first gen and sencond gen? I need to pickup new shock boots. When I search on dealer websites I get the same OEM part # for 1st and 2nd gen. However, when I search for KYB ones they only come up for 2nd gen so I'm a bit confused. The parts I'm looking at are KYB SB101 for front and KYB SB104 for the rear. Are those going to fit my 1991?

I just don't want to redo this all again! Thanks!

LexLS- did you ever get this resolved? I'm planning for new KYB struts on my 1997 and ordered SB101 and 104 for mine. My concern is over how the KYB boots mount up, it looks like they just sit on the bumper whereas the Lexus stock boots serve as a landing for the upper end of the coil spring.

In the stock setup the boot is sandwiched between the end of the spring and the strut mount. In the KYB setup it looks like the spring lands directly on the strut mount. I'm wondering if I'm going to be getting unwanted noise with the spring directly on the strut mount. I'll let you know.

Love your site, especially the torching pics of the LCAs.

It still bottoms out on the driveway at work, but yeah, not a super low ride...
Which is fine. Got rid of my Civic for the fact that I am too old to put my *** that low to the ground.

Do so some shocks lower the car more? Like i saw something about shock perches or something being adjustable that lowers the car more? Hows that work?

Hmmm, I feel like my car already sits as low as the car with stock wheels above. IIRC i canfit like to two fingers in the gap. Atleast for the rear.
