With that low mileage it is probably a good looking disaster. I figure it's worth $2500, and I'd insist on them dropping $1,500 for the timing belt TIME BOMB. I'd offer $1k cash, take it or leave it.
[/OK SARCASM OFF NOW]
And I say that since I've got a bunch of old cars, and every time a nice one comes along people say all the rubber needs to be replaced, etc. etc. etc. And I don't believe it.
Nice to see such a good version out there. Hope they get the asking price, which seems not too high to me.

Ya, it's not for everyone, however I receive many compliments.
Mine is paired with cypress (greenish gray) leather interior..much rarer than tan or gray or black.
Including special projects, I probably have about $10,000 in parts and maintenance into mine over 4 years ownership...
$15,000 seems high but someone might pick it up for $12,500...the interior color appears to be tan...which is incorrect pairing..should be cypress for max value
Hope it doesn't get hit and the insurance company totals it over a $3,000 repair.
Discontinued parts are another matter

Personally I like the color, with 9k miles I'd pick it up as a second car, would be cool to have.

The color is Jade Pearl Silver...less common color, but I sought this color.

The attached 1998 Spec Sheet reads "Silver Jade Metallic"

Only would be valued in that range to a collector.
If you want it to actually drive, price entirely depends on the kind of maintenance work that's been done to it.
Will agree though, it's in fantastic condition.

why would someone get the nicest driving car to never drive it lol
whoever first bought this car soooooo didn't get their money's worth... my car has just over 175k and i'd say it almost looks better than this one thanks to the wheels
the all season OEM tire option for this car was the dunlop sp sport 4000, this car has dunlop tires... so this has been (not) driving around with what are likely 20 year old tires!? idk why the odometer reading is so important to people, this car could've theoretically idled for 10,000 hours, and according to ford (my crown vic had an idle hour counter so this was official TSB info) 1 hour of idling is equivalent to about 33 highway miles... i'm sure this car hasn't done that many idle hours but still people always think they "scored" with a super low mileage car

I have worked on cars all my life... and I cant even imagine anyone buying a car driving only 9200 miles and parking it for 24 years... that will ruin a car.. I would not want this car, it will be more trouble that it is worth.. probably all the bearings are ruined, no lube, who knows what the engine inside looks like rust? gasoline??
just dream on but pass... that was not a smart decision.. to me.... all this is just MY own opinion.. just leave me out..

Lol. I own a 98 in the same color. It's definitely not disgusting. After 20 years of sun, the hood, trunk, top and mirrors are taking on bluish hues.
