Default Amazon basics oil

I currently use mobil 1 high mileage 5w30 in my LS 1999. 208k miles. What do y'all think of Amazon basics stuff? Should I go 10w30 instead of 5w30?

TL;DR They are worth and perform better than Shell. But I am staying with Shell. $10 more and mine is 232k

Haha, that's funny I'm watching that right now, actually video is just about done.

I've used mobil one in every one of my cars.

If you are currently using High Mileage oil you should continue doing so. The additives that cause your rubber seals to swell slightly are not permanent. Going back to conventional oil will remove the benefit. I'm not saying you have to stick with Mobil1 but stay with the high mileage variety whatever brand you choose from now on...
Lexus recommends 5W30 for temps as low as -25F. I doubt you'll see that in California so 10W30 will be fine.

Oops the link is synthetic blend, I meant to post Amazon basics full synthetic. I usually use 5w30 in winter and 10w30 in summer.

its made by warren oil company...if ur doing 3-5k OCI then its not that critical, same with the filter. my camry is at 7500 miles in between changes so i use the napa platinum filter with mobil 1 ep oil. the regulations for what is considered "synthetic" oil over here in the states is a joke...not many are PAO based oils. blends are also a joke because u dont know what is in the bottle. but whatever..im not getting into another damn oil debate

the "amazon" oil always seems to do quite well in independent tests... i'd much sooner put that in my car than supertech or valvoline

i just use the regular mobil 1 5w-30 and call it a day

firstly idk what's being "disproved" since all i said is i'd rather use mobil 1 than valvoline... and that link is just a google search of mobil 1 vs valvoline... also the VW forums post is from 2005, doesn't actually show any data, and he's not even using the same grade of oil when comparing the two

you should care about some stupid video since stupid videos can be very conclusive, such as these actual results i got from blackstone labs on my mobil 1 5w-30 that was in the LS:
