What’s recommended? Platinum or can I go iridium?

The owner's manual calls for Iridium. Denso #SK20R11 or NGK IFR6A11. Those part numbers may have changed a little over the years.

Use the recommended iridium type plugs. The car will run using other plug types with varying results in performance and longevity.

You want the Iridium. I remember that the Denso plugs are the OEM recommended. These are the ones that I purchased.
