Default Power steering going out?

As soon as I added more fluid it quieted down somewhat. Would stop leak be a good band aid while I find a ps pump and alternator?

Go to www.rockauto.com. Type select your car's make, model and year. Scroll to power steering or alternator or whatever u need and order it there. They have re manufactured parts available cheaper than Autozone etc. These autozone and oreilly parts aren't too good.

I strongly suggest changing the fluid, multiple times to flush... often, PS pumps, which hold most the fluid anyway, will respond to this and resolve problems, especially if fluid has not been serviced. Just make 100% sure you are using the right Stuff, see owners manual. While car is running, drain the fluid while adding the new stuff and having someone turn wheel from left to right and right to left, this works the pump. You should see dark stuff coming out, and eventually it will start to look clean. Monitor the color every 50 miles and if it starts to look dark again, rinse and repeat. This usually works unless pump is just too far gone. Any leaks on that pump?

i replaced the cracked hose that connects the resiviour to the pump but leaks still occurred so I figure it’s the pump

Yeah just check the fluid. I believe what's is supposed to be used is ATF Mercon IV but check the manual. But, when I had a massive leak, my pump was making a ton of noise. When I fixed the leak, added the right fluid, it quieted down. And, you want to make sure there isn't any air in it. I just turned on the car and filled the reservoir; then just turn the wheel to get the bubbles out. If you want another pump, check out the options at RockAuto.
