Signal Flasher Too Quiet
hmm is your tilt wheel too low perhaps? I could see the indicator lights in the cluster pretty clearly.
the solution for a louder click is to replace the signal relay, with a non OE unit.
denso OE relays are quiet, as with all lexus and Toyota models.
not sure if there are aftermarket signal relays out there for our old cars, but they should be standard across the lexus/Toyota line in the 90s.

You could always do what I did with my motorbike once apon a time.
I fitted a buzzer to the flasher relay. Much too loud for a car, but if you put a layer of tape over the top of the buzzer, they become MUCH quieter. Adjust layers of tape/paper/plastic/whatever until you get the volume you want. Buzzers available on ebay for bugger all.
Stopped my doing the noob looking thing riding with the indicator still on.
I now fit an auto turn signal cancel to all bikes as I get them.
Hope the idea helps.

i like the quiet turn signals
you need to adjust your seating position or the wheel height, the arrows shouldn't be blocked by the wheel lol
sorry i don't have any actual help to offer, but at least when people see who's driving they'll go "ohhhhh that makes sense now"

PM,thats a good lead.LOL Stroock,maybe I need the old man hat??
Tim, since telescope doesnt work ,cant change tilt angle to anything elsewhere as this is only comfy drive position.Anybody know where flasher unit is located?
Oops,my bad,forgot to do a search,let me do that.
.
Thanks Gents!

Edit-been searching, looks like a bear to get to,then the frequently mentioned best thread "with great photos",the pics are gone.Go figure. This shouldnt have been a challenge at all Lexus! Keep searching net spuds.....

I actually quite like the silence as well. Its such a stark contrast to some of my other vehicles. Landcruiser with 1HZ diesel with short straight through exhaust. R6 Super Sports Motorbike. And I notice the indicators without problem on the Lexus.
I think the buzzer is an ideal solution. It can be placed out of sight under the dash. Volume can be adjusted easily (or you can buy one with an adjustable volume/tone. The one I got for the bike was like $2, so a little tape over the top was all that was needed. I actually glued the tape on where it touched the mounted plastics so it would not just slowly come off (contact cement - that way I could still remove it later without damage).
Worked well.
* Very simple and cheap!! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2pcs-Piezo-Piezoelectric-Electronic-Buzzer-3-12VDC-Effect-Knock-Sensor-Alar/183392598290?epid=25005376188&hash=item2ab30cf912:g:9TEAAOSw-cFbfR96
* Something like this if you only want the buzzer to come on after a while. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MOTORBIKE-INDICATOR-WARNING-BUZZER-ADJUSTABLE-DELAY-0-20-FLASHES-FITS-SYM/251713938165?epid=1588622363&hash=item3a9b51e2f5:g:QdkAAOSwdpxUYVH9
* Might not fit - dont know, but there are 2/3/4 pin versions. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-12V-.../132439301549?

Anyway, its just an idea.

How does that knock sensor thing hook up,just find a hot and ground and tape it to flasher?

Because I served in the field artillery unit?, LOL I just watch flashing light on the board.
well since i remember you representing yourself with mr. potato head, i pictured some kind of fogey don rickles-esque type bickering with mrs. potato head over whether or not they missed the exit as he floats along in his boaty lexus haha... but age is just a state of mind anyway right? also what's more old man than leaving the blinker on too long!
Neg to Ground, Pos to Indicator feed. Flash on it buzzes, Flash off is stops, Flash on it Buzzes.... ad infinitum (or nauseam).
I think I would hook it up under the dash board someplace. Should be able to find the feeds easy enough. at least the dash is easy to get out. Removing the lower sections around the steering column to get to the flasher unit is probably a PITA. (at least i think thats where the Flasher relay is).

Philip.its buried somewhere on the left side (US) where you have to remove a heating duct after other stuff to get to it,stupid design.
