Default Auto Lights Light Sensor Location?

Just a curiosity.

Does anyone know where the Auto Light Sensor is located?
I'm not sure what its called, but its going to be a light sensitive diode somewhere.
I'm talking about the sensor that's used to tell if the lights need to go on or not when you switch the Headlights switch to Auto.

Thanks.

it's located at the top of the dash near the windshield defroster vents, looks like a bubble.
