Default refabricating hood insulation

anyone know where i can refabricate the engine hood insulation? After changing the hood shocks.. the stuff is falling of and crackign away

I don't know but I'm about to use the dynomat hood insulation to replace my dying hood insulation.

You can get Dynamat at any audio shops.

Anybody inquire about a carbon fiber hood replacement for the LS? That alone would probably shave off a few pounds on our hefty ride dont you think? Im pretty sure its going to be a custom one off type since I havent seen anybody with one yet.

is the dynomat similar to what the new lexus have? I have seen the new fabric on the New lexus and it's like carpet... its really cool..

No, that fabric-type thing is either insulation or a new sound deadener that is not yet commercially avaliable. Use dynomat extreme.

the dynamat looks enticing but is there anything that is "not" shiny and aluminum... it'd make under teh hood all funny looking
