90 ls:incorrect fuel gauge reading

I know someone here had the same problem on their first gen ls.
My needle reads 1/4 when it is full and it will never go abobe the 3/4 mark.

It could either be the gauge or the fuel sending unit in the tank.

I've replaced an equal amount of both. You just need to have it checked.
