Default Question on Fog Lights

I have H4 HID's on my 93 LS but it seems that when the HID's are turned on, the car seems to think that my long lights are on so my Fog Lights don't work. I wanted to put HID's in my Fog Lights too but it seems that won't work. Is there a way to bypass that so I can add HID's to the Fog lights?

I think you need to rewire your Foglights to your parking lights for both items to work at once. I remember a the member BHC had HIDs and fogs running at same time.

Also remember that there's an amber capsule inside the fog lights. If you put HID's in them they're gonna be HID amber.

As for your fog lights not working, I'm not sure on this one. It may be because some HID's that convert H4 don't have a hi/lo feature. Maybe it's simply not getting power.

I removed the Amber glass in the Fog Light, so that wont be a problem if I get HIDs in the Fogs, but the HIDs I have are one function, with no high beams so the car thinks my high beams are on, that is why my Fog lights don't work. I'm trying to work around this problem.

Well that's odd. Your fog lights should work regardless if the low beams burn or now. Do you have the switch in the high beam mode? If not then I really don't know what's going on. Maybe you should try hooking the HID's to your low beam circuit instead....

Hey guys,
Since we are on the subject of foglights, maybe you can help me.
I just got the yellow glass out of my fogs yesterday at my stereo
shop. Anyways, I have hyperwhite driving lights, but now my fogs
look weird because they are yellowish. Does anyone know what
type of bulbs I can replace them with (size) so they will be hyper
white too. Also any good places to buy them from will help.
Thanks.

I think Lex Tech is right. With H4 HID kit, you lose Hi-Beam, therefore your foglights can't be turn on.
Get Hi-Lo HID kit.........I think that'll save your problem........plus I don't realy suggest rewire foglights to parking lights..........you know......we don't want anything burn down.

I can't really rewire my fog lights to my parking lights because of my alarm, the HID's are extremly sensitive and by rewiring them to the parking lights when I arm or disarm the alarm my parking lights flash and so would my fog lights therefore damaging the HID bulb. I guess I'll just leave it like that.
