1st gen LS power stearing pump question
I know these pumps leak when they get older. When do they normally start to leak, at what age or mileage? Also if any of you guys had the pump and alternater replacd at the dealer what did you pay? Thanks...

Usually start leaking right before 100K but their are alot of variables involed so its really hard to say.
I cost about $1400 for the alt and ps pump at the dealership.

steering pump
I have a 92 LS and the pump has been leaking for two years now. My alternator recently went bad. Fortunately I was able to replace it on my own. Approach from the bottom and it is not difficult at all. It cost me $60.00, yes $60.00. I bought a rebuilt alt. from a place that rebuilds them where I live in Brentwood, Long Island, N.Y. With the pump still bad I think I did really good, runs perfect.
