Default Stereo help.....

So I recently installed a stereo (double din, Boss), 5 channel amp and 2 12inch subs.. i checked the wiring and re checked it and re checked it. Everything was going good until a week went by and my battery started getting weak. I took out the fuse to the amp (near the battery) and everything seems back to normal now. I know there are a few things that i need to checked but could that be because of a bad ground wire? Or a stereo wiring in the back? The stereo i bought was cheap (dirt cheap) and i know that i have the wires going everything but for a week it sounded great and it still does....just can t figure out why the battery is draining little by little.

these cars (assuming you have an LS400) have a sensitive charging system. any extra load you put on it may cause stuff like this to happen. what I suspect is that your alternator cannot handle the system, thus affecting the battery.

What battery is in your car. You may have created a parasitic drain. Try driving with the stereo off for a week. See if the battery recharges.

Check your amp wiring for any power after the ignition is off. The amp should shut off with main stereo off. The stereo head should be switched with the acc/ignition only, except for save memory features which will need a dedicated hot independent of the main stereo power supply. Do I sound like I know what I am talking about? I didn't think so.
