Default 98 LS fuel gauge reading wrong

So I'm finally getting around to replacing the fuel pump today. I have the trunk and back seat all removed, then I remembered that I have to deal with the fuel gauge being wrong.

Question: Will replacing fuel sender, gauge assy, p/n 83320-80360 make the gauge read correctly or is this a calibration issue.

I believe you're on the right track. Mine has the same problem but does not bother me enough to fix it. In my prior research I narrowed the fix down to the fuel gage sending unit in the tank.
