I've been trying to find a solution to get the trunk open on my car. Had a locksmith come out to try to make a new key. In return I got a copy of the valet key and not a key with the pattern of the master. I have found out how to get close to the valet switch, but I can't get the panel completely off. I have a set of pry tools, can I just pry the panel with the lock and gas/trunk switches out? Also, I see the little cable that is attached to the valet lock cylinder. What would happen if I cut that? Nothing, or alarm?

I think the whole panel needs to come off not sure. You don't want to just cut wires, there will be a connector to disconnect and jump.

I've gotten to the point where there are 2 10 mm bolts holding the panel on but there must be another bolt or a clip in the middle that I'm not seeing because it won't come out.
