Default ECT, ecu test question (Yamae)

Ok I removed the connector from the ecu on a 1990 LS400 and used a scope
and got a similar tank circuit type out put, is your test done without disconnecting the connector?
I didn't really want to pierce the insulation.
Here is a similar scope view.

Tank circuit?
Where is it in the ECU?
I don't quite get what you are writing.

On the darker wire that connects to the engine coolant temp sensor, that is with key on and engine off (very similar) wave form I got. Time base change just increased or decreased it of course, no multiple pulse train. When I can I will check it out better, I had other important things to do.
Its not what I expected to see.

The ECT line circuit is completely different from a tank circuit and it's quite strange to me to introduce a non related Youtube link.

All you need is just to measure the ripple level of the line and judge.

I can't post what I saw. The picture is a good representation of it. So the picture is related. I got no ripple. It just showed a tank like oscillation.

I'm with you, Yamea; using fancy tools to measure simple DC ripple is way overboard ( and I'm a EE) :-!

Me? And actually saying that sort of thing may get you banned.

If it was my website, I would do the King Solomon thing, and do to others what
you wish to be done to yourself. And not saying he said that.
