I have not studied the abs stuff much, and don't know how many solenoids on the gen 1's or even the 2's.

Yes, that is only about a Gen 2.5 (98-00) which has 15 solenoids. Older models have much less than that. A Gen 2 only has 4 ABS solenoids and 2 TRC solenoids. I don't know much about Gen 1 models.
