Default Bought Used LS400 ECM (1994)--- Do i need it programmed/flashed?

i think i read that OBD1 ECMS don't need programming or to be flashed, is this the case? or would it be plug and play? thanks

no programming needed to run the car. Can't remember about the security for the alarm. Believe it's separate.

Sure. I say plug it up and play cause you never really know with used ecm. Also check the alarm module like dicer said.

My advice: after you plug it in, turn the key to battery and let the power cycle through it and let the ecm do its system checks. After it calibrates (about 30-60 seconds) then crank it up.
