Where are the main and return fuel lines connected to the tank?
I have a very noticeable gas leak coming out of the round rubber tank bushing underneath the rear of my 95 LS 400, the gas line connections are tight and secure but the gas is seeping through the rubber bushing. Can you tell me what's behind the rubber bushing? The main and return lines go through the bushing but where on the tank do they connect? Wouldn't the main line be connected to the fuel pump located at the top of the tank? Any help of pictures would be very helpful before I start removing things. Thanks much guys, much appreciated.

So no one replies you. I know very little about the tank but I hope the drawing below may help you some. It's from a JDM parts manual. According to it, the main and return fuel lines are connected to two different blocks 77606F and 77607. The main and the return line #1 is connected 77606F. The return line #2 to 77607.

Look at the pics on this site and you should get a better ideal of where the lines go.

Sha thanks a bunch, would you happen to know if the gaskets on the return and main tubes going into the tank are rubber or metal? Because I'm thinking the gaskets need replacement or the tank has rusted through. I'm trying to get as much info as possible before disconnecting those lines. Thanks again.

sndlight thanks much I see the same photo in my manual, I've narrowed it down to the bolts (returnk and main) going into the tank at the bottom, I think (at least I hope) it's just the gasket(s) leaking, the inconvenience of draining the tank to inspect and replace the gaskets is where I'm at right now, and not knowing if its a rubber or metal gasket between the return tube and tank. Has anyone replaced the tank on this forum? Thanks again.
