Dension iPhone4s audio hook up
On ebay there is a Dension devise for hooking an iPhone4s directly into the CD input (unplug CD player first) $176 and $45 for the docking cable. ? I'm currently playing my music thats in my iphone thru a cassette adapter thingy. It works but sound quality not nearly as good as the CD.
Does anyone know anything about these Dension devices ?.... Dont really want to spend $225 only to be the guinea pig.....

Here's the link to ebay page.... To search ebay type Dension LS400

My lex is ls400 1999, European version with Pioneer audio (not Nakamichi), amplifier under passenger seat and CD changer above the glove compartment.
I bought this one: https://www.dension.com/automotive/p...ateway-lite-bt version for ls400 (with harness/cable GBL3TO1).
I followed the "LS400 CD changer removal" procedure from utube, then plugged off the radio and... s*#t, of course nothing with Lexus audio could go that easy. Turned out my OEM Pioneer has 2 x 14-pin plugs at the back and the Gateway cable is 12-pin plug. They swear it fits all UCF20 models and it usually does. I begged two UCF20 owners to let me peek at their radios' back and you know what: of course they have 12-pin plugs on their OEM Pioneers. But not mine, misterious plugs look like that:
2 plugs fitting my ls400 Pioneer. Right for amp, left (14-pin) for CD changer
Is all lost and I will have to carry my 200 CDs with me instead of my wife?! Fear not, there is hope. I thought the other side of the cable (the one plugged into the CD changer) may be 12-pin? Yeah, after 2 hours disassembling the compartments I found out THIS:
So somebody at Pioneer (devil himself) designed the set in the way that the head unit is 14-pins output, but the input at the changer is 12-pin. Okay, there.must have been the cause, never mind, this let me install the Dension stuff with the attached cable and it works great.
The tricky part: it operates as CD so you need to have a cd cd record, bit then you hear your Bluetooth music from the phone and music from the cd! But the problem is gone when you unload all CDs from the drawer and put it (empty) into the changer. Voila, the CD changer is stupid - no cd record is played, but you hear your Bluetooth! All channels, booster at the back and everything just perfect. Only issue is the loudness of the Bluetooth music is lower, but still powerfull enough to smash your brain through your nose at 90%.
The Dension set is about 130EUR, worth every penny.
