I've tried both MP3 and WMA and settled on WMA, constant bit rate at 320 kbps. I used Easy CD Digital Audio Extractor to rip my CD collection into WMA lossless for playback in the house through my main stereo. That entire library was then batch converted by EZCDDAE to WMA 320.
