Window switch swap
I got a replacement left rear window switch assembly today from the junkyard. It looked exactly the same as the one I have with a broken door that covers the ashtray. Paid $25.
Old one with broken door.
The switch on the new part says "auto" plugged it all in and it didn't work. Cigarette lighter worked but not the window switch.
I was about to put the old on back in when I thought maybe I can remove the actual switch. So sure enough it popped right out with a flathead screwdriver and I put it in the switch housing that had the cover intact. And it works perfectly!
Looks like new!
I'm glad Lexus designed it like this , otherwise I'd be screwed...
