Default window switch problem

The main window switch in the driver's door is developing a problem on my 07 350. When I want to lower the right rear window just a little, the window won't move unless I wiggle the switch sideways. Works fine for auto down.

Has anyone opened up the switch and cleaned the contacts on one of these switches? Or is buying a new switch the only answer?

These switches are made of plastic & basically a thin material for contacts, it wouldn't hurt to experiment & open it up (if easily done & not completely sealed). If the plastic supporting the contact is cracked or missing a tiny piece of plastic you can always repair it with JB Weld Plastic. If a contact piece is also missing embed a piece of tin when the JB Weld Plastic is starting to dry.
From experience I have never opened a Lexus switch although have replaced many switches (window & door) in the past for other makes since they were inexpensive & easy to find at the Wreckers.
Your other options are to replace the switch either from the wreckers or new.

Before attempting to take the switch apart if there is any hole of sorts I'd try spraying contact cleaner in it first and see if that will fix it.

I would not take it apart per say. just clean it , and slap some dielectric grease on it and see if that improves the situation. If it doesn't it might not be the metal contact. It's not that spendy to get a used switch on fleabay.

I have taken switches apart on other brands of cars. They are all made out of plastic. I'd say I have about a 75% didn't break it rate when taking it apart. Assuming I can successfully open the switch up, the really big question is how the contacts work. Some you can work with, some you can't.

I have spark plugs to change and the oil cooler pipe to replace. I will probably do those before I attack the switch.

I appreciate all the suggestions and will welcome more if anyone has one.

I would do the switch first to procrastinate the oil cooler hose and sparkies.

If it like my other toyota master switch, it's plug and play, from the bottom, so you can clean the contacts (sort of) without taking it apart. If you have done it before I'm sure you'll be fine. I dread doing the sparkies on this engine.
