Default Serpentine belt jumping off

I've been having issues with my serpentines ripping apart. On further looking into the issue I noticed the belt is jumping off at the crank between the crank and tensioner. It either looks like the crank pulley is sitting back too far or the tensioner Is sitting far forward. Picture related. Is it possible for the crank pulley to shift backwards like that? Any advice or help please this is my only running vehicle.

Crank pulleys have a rubber compound built in the middle of them to dampen out the drive train. So they separate in the middle and wander in and out. Take the crank pulley off and take a look at it. It will be obvious what is wrong after you take it off. You might need an impact wrench to get it off.

Wow, just took a look online and they run around $250 or so. Not cheap- and you may have to google harmonic balancer to find it. My first try with crank pulley didn't work with amazon.

Pretty obvious the crank pully has moved in. Look at the timing marks pushing up against the edge.

That pulley is the weight, and yes it looks slipped in. Either a new one or wrecking yard.

belt alignment issues will result in a frayed edge on the belt....
Amazon.com: Gates 91006 Serpentine Belt Alignment Tool: Automotive Amazon.com: Gates 91006 Serpentine Belt Alignment Tool: Automotive

belt squeaks? spray water on the belt..if it gets worse its a tensioner issue..if it gets more quiet its an alignment problem..no change then it could be an idler..alt..etc etc
