Please one for lights. It gets old seeing a million posts about lights. I wish all the lights could be in one thread or area.

Another one for tires and wheels.

And when posts show up in the general forum, move them to the area they are supposed to be in.

The wheel tire thread covers pretty redundant set-up's. It varies on particular fitment but yes, we'll keep an eye on them.

Philips has a well documented site that covers most the bulbs in relevant cars. For those buying LED's they can match the type in their research.

Bottom line is the FAQ is largely ignored and this happens on many forums in a range of interests. That's why PD says "Search".

Also, segregating isses based on topic (wheel/tire/lights/suspension/etc...) isn't a simple matter for many reasons, and the LS400 forum just doesn't get the kind of traffic one of the other (SC/GS/IS) forums do.

Additionally. that leasves us with the issue of what to do with the last 15+ years of posts, they cannot be easily filtered.

Not to mention, many threads/posts touch on multiple issues or start out on a specific topic and then move into other directions. It would be difficult.

I see no problem, I search the WWW before I search the forum and that usually leads me back to the forum.

We'd touched on the search engines between moderators and Google does very well. The forum search does well if one knows the specifics. One or two word searches may not turn up the relevant results or to many.

Also handy is the "similar threads" section on the bottom of each page. I have found a lot of information from there - sometimes from other model forums too.
