ls400 acceleration issues
I recently purchased a 95 ls400 and after driving it for a week or so, I've come to realize that it's riddled with problems, one of which is a problem with the acceleration. Whenever I pull off, I have to slowly accelerate, otherwise the car struggles to pick up speed. Any info would be great.

It could be anything from timing belt slippage, to worn out transmission, and many other things in between.
Is it the engine struggling or the transmission slipping?
And then there is the electrical stuff, ECU etc.
And that is the thing with these cars, they are old, and they can have problems and worn out parts. Go a million miles? Yeah but with lots of good maintenance and parts replacements through the years.

The transmission seems fine for the most part, I can't remember the exact codes, the ones that came up were for o2 sensers, catalytic conv, exhaust leak and/or possible issue in the fuel system.

How many miles on car? Seems like the prior owner dumped the car for lack of maintenance. Multiple issues going on and often the O2 sensors are also throwing a code. Other symptoms along the way would be poor mileage and sulfur smell. These are fixable the extent of wallet digging is still unknown. If the prior owner didn't run the car to long with a rich condition the cats may survive/work. The following are not big maintenance items and often little combined fixes yield good results.
My suggestions:
Clean the EGR.
Replace O2 sensors both fore and aft.
ECT sensor
tune-up: plugs, caps, rotors and wires. When you pull the plugs you'll have an idea how fouled they may be.
Thermostat and that also means a cooling system drain.

It's the 180,000 range. The previous owner definitely neglected it.
I kinda feel like I got screwed a little on the deal because the guy assured me that there were no major mechanical issues, I found out a few days too late that he pretty much lied to me. I really wanted to use the "lemon law" against him, but the time limit for that is up.
