'99 Celsior. Changed battery now won't start
Just replaced my battery with a brand new battery from Toyota.
When I connected the new battery, the horn started blowing. I was able to switch this off by pressing unlock on the remote.
Then went to start the car and it just cranks, but doesn't fire up.
Tried leaving key in ignition set to ON for 6 minutes, tried opening the driver's door manually etc, but still no joy.
Has anyone an idea?

Sounds like the security system is activated.
Disconnect the battery for ten minutes or more. Then connect it. Close everything (hood, trunk, doors) and use the remote to rock and unlock doors. Then start the engine.

I've managed to fix it.
It turned out that someone had fiddled with the wires going to the immobiliser and one was broken.
Soldered them and she started first time again
