Burning smell in the Cabin of 1995 LS400
Hi Guys,
I have a 1995 LS400 that has 150k miles on it. Have been using for the past 2 years.
Of late, i have noticed a burning smell in the cabin of the car if I accelerate to 120 kph or higher. To rectify this, I have to switch on the AC and choose the external air in mode so fresh air can come in.
All is well when I'm driving at low speeds.
I did remove the AC cabin filter and cleaned it. But the issue remains.
My local mechanic speculated it might be because of the engine getting overheated. But the engine temp remains within normal levels.
Any suggestions guys?
Appreciate your help.
Cheers,
Shiv

I would check the condition of the serpentine belt first.

Burning what? Rubber smell like tires burning, or electrical wires? Don't park it in your garage. Does it smell just when running or also when just sitting?
I never put a car in a garage and leave the battery connected.
