Angry whats that smell?
lateley after i have lit up the 98gs400 i get a smell that makes me think that the catalytic converters are beginning to fail. is this possible? if so what do i do?

Could it be your AC? If so, spray some Lysol into the air intake for the HVAC, and replace your filter with a homemade unit.

well, can you smell it outside? does it go away after the car's been running? i also had the nasty smell dex is talking about, which was a dirty filter when the AC came on and dissapates a minute later

no, it is not the ac, but thanks for the air filter info, i already new about the battery. the smell comes from the out side after i pounce on the engine sort of an after waft

Does it smell like rotten eggs? Sulfur? Or more like burnt flesh?
