How about a AA fuel hemi?
I think they have enough from the factory to do 150 mph or so don't they? A nice new overhauled engine would likely give all the power you need to drive on the average road in the US.

If your going to add more power and do burn outs you had better lose the rubber U joints in the drive line that is the weak point. Same with the rubbers holding the rear end to the rear sub frame.
If I was going to hop up a car an LS400 would be the last thing I would think of doing that to. I'd rather do it to something that looks like a performance car and has 2 doors, and lots and lots of performance parts available for it. Sorry but it looks flat goofy to mod a luxury 4 door sedan. And a super waste of money. The resale on modded ls's is zero. If you gotta have that there are lots of em on craigslist with the funky no clearance wheels and fenders bent from them, exhausts removed and messed up. Pretty much no one ever buys them. You could save a bunch cause the parts and work is already done. Sell the good one, pocket the extra cash and spend less than half you sell yours for to buy the fancy one.
Edits to fix some bad spelling etc.
