Default 92 ls400 interior gas smell

intermittent cel lean code. car runs fine. exhaust gaskets are blown.
just a history of my car before i start
i have a gas smell only when past half tank any suggestions?
i have a gastket for the fuel pump i may start there, are there anymore issues i should check for while im already working on the car? any experiences from you guys i can take to over look my own car?
ive replaced the gas cap and i tried to clean out the charcoal canister but i once in a while get a gas smell only above half tank.

I would check the vent lines ontop of the tank. Maybe one is cracked.

I've had this issue before, it was simply tightening the metal pipe that connects to the top of your gas tank. Working from inside your trunk, remove the trunk carpets and liners, follow the metal pipe from where you put the gas in to where it attaches to the tank. Tighten the pipe connection to the tank with a 10 mm socket wrench, I believe there are 3 or 4 screws, they have a way working loose sometimes, hopefully that will solve your problem.
