need help on Pioneer car cd changer
Hi all,
I behave of my friend who just bought a Pioneer premier CDX-PD6 in-dash cd changer from e bay. He just hook up a Pioneer premier CDX-PD6 in-dash cd changer with my head unit Pioneer Premier(DHP-900R) today. The changer power up fine but he couldn't load cds into the changer. Also, his head unit display ERROR-72. Unfortunately, he didn't have the changer's manual and the head unit's manual didn't mention anything about it. Do you guys have any idea how to load the cds or what's wrong with it? Thank you in advance.

I have the Pioneer CDX-PD6 as well.
*Is the slot where you put in the CD's closed or open?
*After you put the CD in the slot, does the "Premier" flap close?
The reason I ask is because one of my CD's got stuck on the way in one time and I pulled it out while it was trying to go in. After that, I received the error messages that you are getting. Just like yours, it would power up and not do anything.
What you can do is call 1-800-PIONEER and their tech support is very helpful. Just make sure that you tell them that you received the CD changer as a gift. Just in case id does still have warranty. If they can't cover the cost, they can refer you to a local Pioneer authorized repair shop to fix it for you.
