Default engine misses

My 94 ls400 has started like missing going down the road. the check engine light comes on and it is difficult to accelerate. sometimes it is fine for a long time and then this happens suddenly.

The usual suspects after you get the error codes read. Tune-up, etc.

Then for reading this thread:

Just read the codes before you dive into that project.

It could be lots of things. Even as simple as water in the gas, bad gas etc.
Heres the code read instructions.
http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html Oops looks like someone else sent ya there. sorry didn't read them all.

It could be an ignition system problem, that is any where from the coils and distributor caps to the spark plugs.
But before digging there do a compression test.
Even a temp sensor, O2 sensor etc. that's why you start at the DTC's Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

Fuel pump and filter, would show up as a loss of power, like going up hills, it wouldn't miss it would act like running out of fuel.
