ECM ECU Repair shops
I am in the process ofsending out my 91 LS 400 ECM/ECU to be repaired, when I google the repair shops and speak to them I get a wide varying price for the repair, can anyone recommend a specific shop?
thanks in advance.

are you providing the appropriate capacitors to them already? or you are looking for them to provide the caps for you. i suggest you source the caps yourself using the mother thread to get the exact quantity and model, then find the appropriate shop.
i don't know any shop around your area but look for electronics service technicians who do PCB soldering and repair. better if you can find those who specialize in surface mount soldering although the caps are basic through-hole soldering. if they surface mount, they tend to be more experienced with sensitive electronics like your ECU!

go to digikey.com and order the caps as indicated in the thread here, keeping in mind of the year of your car.

there is no way to test the ECU when off the car. there is a ripple test in the thread but if you don't understand car electronics too well it may be well over your head.
order the caps and have a professional install them.

In the very first post all available caps needed are listed and linked. All you have to do is click the links and add to cart. Even if you leave the site your cart stays. That's how I did it. And I saw you posted a question in a different thread about not having the exact caps your car called for. If they don't have the exact voltage your car calls for a higher voltage cap is ok.
