Default how to remove mirrors?

So the mirrors on the LS me and my brother are working on are flopping around. and the driver side has some cardboard to retain it in place. Talking about the housing itself. the lens operates correctly with the motor.

So we were at the Upull yard today and found a LS with unmolested mirrors

Took the tweeters off and the screw on the inside of the door.

yet were unable to detach the mirrors from the car? is it possible to take the whole assembly out or is it possible to only take the mirror itself? Has anyone removed these before?

You have to pop the glass off and there are some screws behind I believe.

What year is yours?

Taking a look at the repair manual on my 95, it shows that you remove a couple of screws behind the tweeter, and the whole assembly should pop right off.... Otherwise you could just use this:

Is there a piece of foam that is covering the other 2 screws.? Usually the wiring for the mirror snakes through the center of it. Def think these guys are correct about the 3 screws though.

it could just be stuck to the door by the rubber seals. just take off the three bolts and wiggle it loose.
