Few weeks ago, while my car was parked on a side road, a passing car hit the side mirror and broke the outside case. when I returned I was shocked to see it.
The mirror is fine and I found a used mirror on ebay (see the below Pics). The case is broken and silver tape is protecting it.
My problem is I don't know how to remove the mirror.
Has anyone removed just the mirror ? Please let me know how ..

Well, it's pretty involved and requires the removal of a lot of those plastic clips that I find so frustrating to deal with. But if you want to do it yourself...

Remove the inside door handle plug (held by 3 plastic claws).

Pry out the armrest switch plate (5 claws & 3 clips).

Remove the underlying switch assembly (3 screws).

Remove the 2 regulator switches (2 claws each).

Pry out the door light.

Pry off the armrest cover.

Remove the armrest & door panel (5 screws, 9 clips, 4 claws on top).

Remove the inner glass weather-strip (4 clips).

Pull off the upper door trim (clip at front end & plug in back end).

Pull off the mirror protector.

Now, finally, you can get at the 3 nuts that hold the metal clamp & mirror to the door. There’s a claw at the middle of the mirror base towards the rear of the car that must be disengaged, too.

Reinstallation is simply (ha!) the reverse of the above procedure.

I'd recommend getting the instructions with diagrams of the parts & their locations from techinfo.toyota.com before taking on the project. It's $15 for 2 days of downloads and is so worth the money for this kind of work.

I was hoping not remove the whole mirror casing but if I can remove only the mirror then I will get to 4 screws that hold the plastic mould and then I can change 2 plastic and pop the mirror. Looking inside I see that the mirror is not screwed in but something is holding it... not sure what.
