Default '94 LS How to remove cellphone mount?

Hi All,

'94 LS question again. Mine came with what I believe to be a factory cellphone mount attached to the factory stereo. I've tried sliding and twisting this thing to get it off with no luck. Anybody have any ideas how this was attached and how to remove it? See attached picture for reference- sorry it's not more complete- it's the only one I have right now without going out to take a picture of it. The cell mount is at the lower right of the picture.

lol that's anything but factory, and seems to be held on with double sided tape.

Can we get a better pic? I would think it would be easy to pull off if it was attached with double sided tape.

Thats double sided tape you should be able to get it off with a razor blade or a plastic decal remover (scraper). I'd recomend the latter as to avoid damaging the face of the radio. Good luck.

I had some sort of a mount attached to the windshield of one of my cars with that double sided foam crap, and it was stuck on there so well that a razor blade was only able to cut under the edges by half an inch or so.

I don't know if you could use it here without damaging the radio finish, but a flexible filet knife used for gutting fish comes in handy for these types of things sometimes.

Perhaps a very thin wire, or even fishing line would work...

Why not just use a heat gun to soften it and then use a soft disposable razor blade.
