UCF21 ignition coil resitance
indeed. I find it very strange that no code is present. i tried 2 different scanners, nothing. Going to clean the MAF and pull those coils out today, change the plugs. Dont know how old the other ones are, dont care, shes getting new ones.
Thinking out loud here, but a failing crank or cam sensor sounds appropriate as its a violent buck, as in-all coils stop firing momentarily. Ive had plugs foul up to the point the dont fire on my mustang, and its much more gentle than this. strange there is no code
, im going to take it to oreileys once my airride manifold it back, maybe they got a better scanner. Nearest toyota or lex dealer is 20 mins away from me and service is usually closed by the time im done work.

make sure you only use actual MAF cleaner to clean the MAF - I use CRC brand
and for other folks reading this thread, never use ANY cleaner on a 94 or older MAF (AFM) - you will ruin it! - gentle air and a brand new chamois ONLY.

Checking resistance on modern could is rather pointless. They need to be checked on an oscilloscope in order to be read correctly. And even then the results will vary between a cold or hot coil. I would go with the track hour on... The cam/crank sensor. Might check into the ignitor also.
about the only time the resistance would tell you anything would be in the case of an open or a dead short in the coil

For those who can't use an oscilloscope, there is a simple and easy way to check the ignition coil unit. I have written it at below a few months ago.
