Default used tranny

I bought a used tranny several years ago for my 96. My old tranny went out when I was going through a car wash. When you pull in to car wash you are supposed to switch into neutral. Well, I tried and couldn't. Had to go through the car wash in drive. Then I had to drive my car to a shop in second gear because it wouldn't shift out of the gear it was stuck in.
Anyway, bought a used transmission online that was from a car with 120,000 miles. Mine had, I think, around 180k at the time. Transmission cost $800 and it cost $400 to have a shop install it. I have put over 100k on the transmission with no problems. To have my transmission rebuilt would have cost me like $2700 and a new transmission would have cost like $3200.
I think the used transmission came with a 90 day warranty. I did some reading online and this seemed to be a good warranty because people say if you are gonna have problems they will happen way before 90 days.

The car wash didn't mess up my tranny. My tranny just stopped working when I pulled into the car wash. I thought it was funny that it picked that time to go out because I had to drive through the car wash in drive.
