I was in a bind when i did mine and i put a "BWD" branded one in, which was about $30 or so at the local parts store. It looked the same as the Factory unit, and has performed quite well so far.. I still plan on changing it back to OEM during the soon to be done tuneup though, as it felt significantly lighter compared to the original one

many people seem to like these aftermarket engine coolant temperature sensors, but I am staying with OEM Toyota since you can get them on ebay for $41 shipped and they last for over 10 years, because this is one of the most important sensors on the entire car, and just not a place where I am worried about saving 10 or 20 bucks!

I am just not sure who ships to Vietnam and also not sure if your want genuine Toyota

I have not seen these for sale in the brand of Toyota's OEM supplier in several months

the one you pictured would probably fit, but that is a pretty sleazy brand - let me post you some links to the genuine Toyota part, give me a few minutes

OK this one is genuine Toyota OEM and also ships to Vietnam!

www.ebay.com/itm/251432985488

that is a pretty good deal, because if you just walk into a Lexus or Toyota dealership parts department in USA, you will pay about $69 + tax for this same Toyota part! - so it's like free shipping!

on some sensors, like the sensor in bottom of the radiator for the electric fan, aftermarket is OK, but this sensor is one of the most critical on the entire car! - so OEM Toyota is the right choice!

It's the greenish looking plug facing upwards on the far left, in between the two holes where the bolts go to anchor that whole assembly in.

Are the 'water temp sensor' and ECTS the same sensor?

Yes, the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) part number 89422-20010 is the green one below and the one that feeds the ECU so that it can make correct decisions on how to run the car correctly for the conditions - beside it, you have the gauge sensor (gray sensor below) which only is for the gauge in the cluster, and then there is a sensor in the bottom corner of the radiator for the electric fan.

just to further clarify what YoshiMan said earlier, in your pic, the ECT sensor is the farthest one on the left, and the sender for the dash gauge is the one right beside it an inch away
