I had a new starter put on my 1995 Lexus LS 400 , Saturday and now the check engine light and Trac light is flashing and engine is running rough , it ran smooth as silk before the work was done . Has anyone come across this problem , and what was the solution to fix it ?

I think when check engine light flashes it usually mean misfiring. Are you able to get the car scan for codes?

 

to scan the car if you don't have a scanner, either go to an auto parts chain store such as Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly, or Autozone and they will scan the car for free and give you a print-out, or else you can order a very capable scanner for only $17 to your door here

I had mechanic recheck his work , he found three spark plug wires pinched , he replace them , now it runs fantastic .
