Default Rear Wheel Issue

My son was driving my 1997 Lexus LS 400 and after feeling the rear end "wobble", discovered this (see photo). Was it jus the lug nuts working loose or something else - any comments would be appreciated.

If I am looking at the picture correctly those look like the wrong lug nuts they should be the sleeve style with washer not the taper style. If that is the case I would get them changed out right away.

Thanks - I had the tires replaced from a Goodyear dealer - will check the other wheel lug nuts also.

yeah those idiots used acorn style lugs it looks like. your car needs "mag" style lugs. flat mounting surface and a thick shank that goes into the wheel.
