Default Help! Sway Bar Bushing Replacement

I have 93 LS400 and would like to replace Sway Bar Bushing. I have couple of questions.

- Should both front and rear be replaced or just front?
- Is an OEM bushings available to purchase? Approximate cost?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I just did my fronts and used beck/arnley. They work fine but no idea how long they will last.

How many miles on the car? Did you ever changed the rear bushings? What symptoms were you experiencing and did replacing bushing fix the problem? Anything I have to watch out for when replacing the bushing? It seems OEM does not cost too much. It is going be about $13 each. Thanks.

Replacing the bushing can help with a multitude of minor issues. Typically you won't notice a swaybar bushing needed to be changed until after you actually change them; unless they are so blown out that the bar is clunking around.

The rears typically do not see the loads the fronts do, so they are less prone to "wearing out," however they sti age at the same rate as the fronts and it is a good idea to replace them as routine maintenance every 100k or 10years... Also do the swaybar LINKS!!

I replaced mine with these a couple years ago. No issues but remember the size is different from front to back.

I replaced mine due to the car wanting to wander at higher speeds. It cured that problem and the front suspension seems much quieter as well. They were were torn , warped and falling apart when I got them out.

I am aware of the tutorial. The tutorial helps a lot if you are planning on replacing bushings. If you have noticed, the tutorial uses a polyurethane type bushings. My original question was asking if those type will have a different effect on ride. Is the OEM bushings made out of rubber and is it worth it getting the OEM parts for bushings? Anyone with experience with either types of bushings?

OEM bushing doesn't cost much compared to polyurethane. I think it makes sense to go with OEM. I am just wondering how much difference will those two different parts make difference in ride and longevity. At least you know the lifespan of OEM bushings because you've used it.

The poly ones make noise from what I have read on here. I would stick with rubber ones.
