My LS400 is making some rather unflattering sounds
Howdy!
Now im new to Club Lexus but I've had my LS for a good 7 months now, I LOVE IT! As far being my first car goes, its phenomenal, BUT as time progresses I'm noticing how much maintenance and parts for repair cost. So far I've had my 02 Sensors changed, timing belt replaced (still makes loud clicking/whirring?) and done the synthetic oil change and such.
Thing is, im reading how much power and strength these 4.0's have and I'd love to have it running at full potential without swapping out things for performance parts which is almost always pricey and when I begin to drive my baby, It'll make a horrid sound from the muffler which makes it sound more like a truck rather than a luxury sedan.
Anyways, what do you think it could be causing that? I'm seeing things that it could be a bad Cat but im really hoping its not because shelling out $$$ is not something im favoring around the holidays.
Could anyone give me a few tips or help me out here, sorry if this was a bit of a read.

Okay, will do!
Also, have you ever seen a LS with a 2 different shades of gold? Not top one color and the skirt different either, the back end from the roof down is the traditional gold and the front half is a silverish tone.
Will post picture momentarily

You could look into a radiator flush and fill. My car seems to be running much quieter and nicer after I did it. For flushing, I used the Prestone product which is supposed to be for all engines and the replacement coolant from Toyota.
