Default 91 Ls400 ticking sound

I purchased a 91 Ls400 and it has a ticking sound. Its not too loud, but it is very noticable at idle. The tick gets faster when you give it gas. It has 103k miles, and had a timing belt done at about 95k. It dosnt seem to affect the way it drives, but it is quite annoying. Does anyone know what this could be? Ive read online that it is common for the early 90's Ls400's to have a ticking sound, but id like to know if it is safe to drive it with that sound. Like i said the tick gets faster when you give it gas. It is very noticable if the car is idling and you are outside it, or have the door open. You cant really hear it if the windows are up and the doors are closed. Does anyone know what this is, or know how to make it quieter?

The most common things it can be are 1 valve lash, 2 exhaust leak.
Even the injectors will make a very slight tick.

the injectors in the ucf10 make a clicking sound. they are supposed to. but if you hear it from inside the car it could be a lifter tick, which is pretty normal for a 25 year old car. I wouldn't worry too much about it. just get it adjusted because a tick can turn into a knock if ran too hard

Does the ticking sound like this?

If so, my car does the sounds just about the same as the LS in that video. From what I've read, it's just the valves that need to be re-adjusted.

Switching over to 10W-30 could help out a lot. Has your oil been changed regularly, or has it been neglected?

The best way to judge what's going on is to take a video or recording of the ticking sound.
