since we are picking on the wiring, what about the lice plate lights having no lenses to cover the LED bulbs? haha jk jk. good work here man, the point that everyone was making is surely clear by now.

btw, what dash kit are you using on the HU?

 

I'm going to go with Metra/Scosche. There's a very slight color mismatch in one of the pictures.

 

The leds do have lenses. The lenses had to be removed temporarily to run the backup camera wiring.

The kit is Scosche LS2085B

 

When i did mine mounted it between the license plate lights ran the wire behind same mounting plate for lights. Tapped into the reverse wire. Worked fine and looks clean. Mine comes on in reverse and when i want it too.

In the dark not as clear as yours. Mine is all pioneer. Putting in a newer double din this week.
