Default polyurethane parts

I want order the polyurethane kit for my 96 Ls. TM motorsports only carry the polyurethane kit for 90-94.. so my question is will the polyurethane control arm kit and rear sway bar kit work on my Ls?

no.

TM has a very unloved relationship on CL, they have a history of going MIA in the middle of your order. Google their reviews.

another problem is that polyurethane is not a good match for LS400 - search this forum and you will notice that people who deviate from the factory bushing material are regretting it later!

TM Engineering?

This is on the top of the web page currently:

Daizen Sport Tuning parts orders placed prior to May 22, 2013 will be refunded shortly. We have had an ongoing issue with the manufacturer which was supposed to be handling these orders directly. We will contact any affected customers if necessary, we apologize for any inconvenience.

take the word POLYURETHANE out of your vocabulary until you sell your LS....

terrible mismatch.

is there anyone else that would sell Poly bushings for the LS, or any other Toyota which shares some of the same suspension components?

Before you attack me at the throat, my LS has a 5spd swap, welded diff, and is being used to drift. If I clutch kit it the rear end feels like its going to rip out of the car.

+1 Not everyone gets these things to sip coffee while driving. I'm also wondering where I can get polyurethane bushings. And that's all I want to know, not what the general consensus is of how it changes the ride.

On VIPSTYLECAR forums everyone has done poly bushings LOL. I mean we are all slammed on coils or bags so I guess riding around smoothly on fat oem sized tires was never our end goal. But the majority of LS owners do not build a car like we do. I would also prefer a smoother ride on a stock like or more functional looking LS.

If the only options are seriously overpriced bushings from the UK, then I'm going to start looking into making my own. At least start out simple with the FUCA bushings and go from there. Those are simple and don't require too much work. If it works out well, then I'm definitely making my own diff carrier bushings for sure, though its going to suck removing the subframe for that lol.

Edit:

All I could find.

http://shopfigs.com/v1/index.php?rou...product_id=102 Still pricey...

So, is the problem with Polyurethane bushings that it firms suspension to the point of it no longer being smooth or is there some mechanical/functional downfall? Just curious to know WHY people here don't like poly stuff.

Polyurethane is stiffer than traditional rubber so it doesn't absorb vibrations, and bumps on the road which now get transferred throughout the car and into the cabin. They can add NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) to the vehicles ride.

Ok so it's not from a mechanical issue standpoint. Great to know.

mostly.

the front strut rod bushings are loaded in a way that makes them mostly unsuitable for polyurethane. they will both ruin the ride and never, ever stop squeaking.

the rest of the bushings just aren't ideal from an NVH perspective. Though poly sway bar bushings and rear carrier arm bushings are always recco'd.

Awesome. My LS wafts like a boat on the highway. It's just short of terrifying at 120 mph and unsettling at any other speed.
